Using Social Media, Blogs, Newsletters, and other Media
Treat media contacts like gold- identify a few bloggers or media people you admire and begin posting links to their work, and maybe contact them over social media to ask questions- if they respond over social media, then their followers will become aware of your profile too. Keep a list of topics to blog about, and write at least one per month. Make a social media calendar where you plan ahead with special posts for holidays, summer events, etc. Social media may seem daunting, but the good news is that the reason it seems daunting is the same reason it’s rife with opportunity: it’s vast, there are tons of platforms, and there is literally something for everybody.

“Thank you, Chloe! Since starting your videos, I have: moved to a new office; done a newsletter announcement of a 15% fee increase to occur 3 months from now; begun offering online sessions (I’ve completed two already!); organized talks to give in my community; and tried to change my attitude a bit to be more open with people! I don’t know where you get your energy, but I love that you’re willing to share it with others! This is a great value for me.”
